A listless 2-1 loss at Trinidad & Tobago that eliminated the US from qualifying for the World Cup for the first time since 1986, knowing that the population of Trinidad & Tobago is 1.3 million as of the US is 327 million. Yet the US team was outplayed and outclassed by the team from a nation about the size of an Island. Trinidad & Tobago led 2-0 in the first half before the US put a single shot on frame.
It was as embarrassing as it was inexplicable not to be one of the 32 teams represented in the 2018 World Cup.
