The former child star delighted fans by revealing he loves the Christmas classic and even watches it to impress the ladies.
n a chat with US host Jimmy Fallon the 38-year-old said he gets recognised more in the festive period because of the hit comedy.
Macaulay played eight-year-old Kevin McCallister, who gets left behind by his family when they go away for Christmas, in 1990. He returned for the sequel Lost in New York two years later.
He said: “I do get recognised more this time of year.
“It’s there, it’s like a thing, like you have a new girlfriend and you’re flipping through the channels and there’s Home Alone, and she’s like, ‘Huh? You wanna watch it?'”
